sonorita

Infinite radio, generated on your machine.

Download — latest alpha

1. Windows .exe installer 2. Linux — Debian / Ubuntu .deb package 3. Linux — Fedora / RHEL .rpm package
4. macOS — Apple Silicon test build

Windows and Linux need an NVIDIA GPU with about 4 GB of video memory. Mac: Apple Silicon, test build.

No NVIDIA card?

On an AMD or Intel GPU, Sonorita won’t start at all — it shows a “hardware support coming soon” screen and stops there. Sonorita generates music on your GPU, and today it only knows how to use NVIDIA cards.

If that’s your machine, leave your email below. Knowing how many of you there are is what decides whether we build it.

On a Mac?

Until now Sonorita refused to start on every Mac — it looked for an NVIDIA card, found none, and stopped. That’s fixed, and the fix is in the test build above. It won’t be in the regular release for a few weeks.

Being straight with you: nobody has run that build yet — not once, on any Mac. It’s unsigned, so macOS will ask you to confirm in System Settings › Privacy & Security. If you try it, we’d love to know what happens, and the download page tells you what to look for. Apple Silicon only — Intel Macs aren’t supported.

Another Linux distro?

We only ship .deb and .rpm. There’s no AppImage: the one we can build has no sound at all — the bundled WebKit ships without the GStreamer pieces it needs, and fixing that properly isn’t something we’ve got to yet.

If you’re on Arch, openSUSE, NixOS or anything else, leave your email and tell us which — that’s what would move it up the list.

What happens on first run

Sonorita downloads about 3.3 GB of AI models — roughly 10 to 15 minutes on a typical connection, and about 5 GB of free disk space. Very little happens on screen during that time. After that it works fully offline.

You’ll also see a security warning: the app isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows shows “Windows protected your PC” — click More info, then Run anyway. It’s an alpha built by one developer, not malware.
